Title: Sr. Systems Engineer Location: Onsite in (Fort Worth, TX) Duration: 6-12+ months Contract Job Description: Experience: 5-8 years experience preferred Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, OR equivalent experience in infrastructure engineering preferred Required skills: Critical thinking and analysis Strong sense of ownership Highly curious Fascination with big airplanes and travel Able to work independently with minimal direction Able to analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine root cause with minimal assistance Able to create solutions and implement them with minimal assistance Able to lift 50 pounds Technical Skills: Windows Desktop and Server Ubuntu They do not have to have working experience with both Windows and Linux, but they will need to work with both. 350 laptops 100 kiosks Working knowledge of networks and networking Working knowledge of security protocols Patching Upgrading and standing up new environments Typical Duties and Responsibilities: Standard 3 days on site, more as required. Travel up to 25%. Implement technical requirements and solutions Perform configuration and maintenance of applications and servers Maintain system documentation Support enterprise application performance management, monitoring and logging solutions Troubleshoot and support systems and applications across on-premise and physical environments Desired Skills (mastery): Windows Server 2019 Powershell, BASH, or similar Server virtualization technologies (VMware ESX Server, Citrix XenApp Server, Microsoft Hyper-V) System monitoring tools (Dynatrace or others) SSL technologies (https, sftp, SSH, TLS, etc.) Desired Skills (proficient): Windows 10+ O/S Ubuntu 18+ Storage technologies (SAN and NAS) TC/IP Networking Network technologies (firewall, routing, LAN, WAN, DNS) Application and Web servers PuTTY SSH and Telnet Client Desired Skills (familiar): MySQL Apache Stay Safe & Regards!
