Client is currently looking for an Engineering Resource for the St of IL This candidate would need to be able to work on-site in Springfield, IL the majority of the time. There is a little flexibility for remote work but they would need to be on-site multiple days each week. Below is the skill set client is looking for. Currently this work would be with IL Secretary of State and they are looking for Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day from 11/1 through 6/11/25 (which is when client Master Contract will expire) they intend to keep the resource beyond that so long as client has a contract vehicle. Job Description: Technical Qualifications: Perform client consulting in the area of network engineering (hardware and software) using routers, switches, network security devices, protocol analyzers, TCP/IP, VPN, Frame Relay, and MPLS Design, plan, and implement LANs and WANs using the latest technology Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs Conduct throughput analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning Participate in various client projects intended to continually improve/upgrade network infrastructures Regularly interface with customers technical and business executive level and project leadership Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs Familiarity with CISCO routing/ switching technology. Certifications CCNA through CCDP preferred. Ability to work with Aruba, Fortinet, HP, Silverpeak and willingness to learn as technology evolves Personal Qualifications: Self-Starter and self-manager Ability to navigate difficult customer environments independently, effectively, and consistently Manage time effectively Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users Track time spent on customer projects in order to bill customers Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment.
