Job Description:

Join our dynamic team where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by applying your data engineering and data science expertise in travel domain. We are looking for a skilled data scientist with strong background in travel domain, travel
analytics, data engineering, and API development.

In this role, you will support the Product Manager. You will be responsible for deriving travel insights from complex travel data, building robust data pipelines. You will also be involved in designing and implementing queries in Big Table, create ODL, tables
in big table performing in-depth data analysis and sharing your findings with Product Manager and key stakeholders.

This position will play a crucial role in developing and improving predictive models and recommendation systems to offer tailored travel experiences to our customers. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in machine learning, data analytics, and
cloud technologies, with a particular emphasis on GCP and Databricks. You will be involved in various use cases, including "Know Your Travel" (KYT) initiatives and other machine learning applications, to promote personalization and enhance customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Work extensively with GCP to manage, orchestrate ML jobs, and analyze large datasets.

Continuously refine and optimize algorithms to enhance model accuracy and relevance.

Utilize PySpark and other data processing frameworks for data manipulation and model building.

Design and implement scalable data pipelines in Big Table for AI/ML and analytics

Implement MLOps practices to ensure efficient deployment and monitoring of machine learning models.

Use GCP, BigQuery, and PySpark, SQL for data processing, storage, and analysis.

Keep abreast of the latest AI/ML technologies and integrate them into existing systems where applicable.

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and PySpark for data processing and model development.

Experience in the travel and hospitality domain is advantageous.

Create and optimize and manage models for personalization and real time recommendations and targeted marketing campaigns.

Understand Business needs, identify KPIs and analyze large datasets to identify data sources, data elements and derive insights

Write and optimize complex queries to extract meaningful insights from large data sets

Build and manage machine learning models to provide personalized and real time recommendations.

Build and maintain APIs for internal teams to access travel insights

Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, and well documented for seamless integration

Utilize statistical methods to interpret and validate things

Create visualizations and reports to communicate analysis to to non-technical stakeholders

Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Manager, engineers, and marketing teams for requirements, technical decisions

Participate in PI planning, define PI objective and business outcomes for One customer profile, KYT, Customer Segmentation and Machine Learning Models etc.

Qualification:

3+ years experience in travel domain or minimum background in financial domain

At least 5 years of experience in technology product management or data-related products.

At least 5 years of experience in Software Architecture and Software Development.

Minimum 3 years experience with SQL working with large datasets

3+ years experience in data science with a focus on Travel analytics preferred

Proven experience in building data pipelines using Big Table or similar technology

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, R, Java

Knowledge and experience of using supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest, Neural Network, Logistic Regression etc.
Experience in predictive modeling is preferable

Experience with data visualizations tools such as Tableau, Power BI

Experience with cloud platforms preferable GCP

Hands on experience in API development and integration

Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of statistical methods and ML algorithms

Deep understanding of Model governance, relevant metrics to measure Model performance

Ability to understand and anticipate how data models, algorithms will impact business outcomes, customer experience.

Experience with agile framework, SDLC, ML development lifecycle

Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and strategically.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment. Able to create PPT for presentations.

Has a successful record of leading and coordinating business, delivery, and technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver on a product roadmap

Strong product management skills that will take full ownership from analysis through implementation.
