Role: Big Data Analyst Duration: Long Term Location: Dallas, TX And Wolfe City, TX JD: Role Description: Documentation Reverse engineer the code/process and document it in a specific format (Data Dictionary/Source to Target Mapping document). Individual will perform a broad range of data processing and analysis to support the project activities. Individual should be able to Decipher the python codes and SQL to understand how the data is tied together. Carry out the data analysis; communicate the results verbally and in a deck to a technical and non-technical audience. Work with large set of data Have experience using SQL and Python for data reporting purposes. The consultant also needs to have experience SQL querying and python/pyspark skills. Must be knowledgeable of best practices using SQL and Python/Pyspark. Strong PL/SQL, Hadoop, Python/Pyspark experience. Experience with troubleshooting code. Will be responsible for the analysis, design, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. Essential Skills: Must-have qualities in potential candidates: Good Analytical Knowledge Good SQL skills and statistical background Good Python/Pyspark knowledge Banking Industry Knowledge Preferably in Fraud And AML Desirable Skills: Experience in Data Analysis & Management activities, BFS domain preferable Extensive hands-on experience in SQL, Python and Hadoop. Experience in US Banking Environment will be added advantage. Documentation of Technical & Business Process, Standards/Quality Documentation Possess strong analytical/logical thinking skills and clarity of thought. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Through understanding of deciphering Python Codes, SQL, ETL like Process (Extract from different sources like Flat files, Teradata transform to created derived field and provisioning with controls) to create the source to target mapping.
