Candidates must be able to perform troubleshooting and escalate problems to the appropriate teams. Flexibility with shift timings is mandatory, starting on day shifts and transitioning to night shifts when needed.Key Responsibilities: 25% - Technical Design and Development: Perform detailed design, coding, and testing of applications. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for discussions related to maintaining and enhancing software systems. Ensure compliance with system standards and policies for large-scale systems. 25% - Software Analysis and Testing: Develop and document use cases and system requirements. Implement and test software, including automated unit tests and structured test cases. Analyze and report software testing results. 25% - Operations and Maintenance: Develop solutions for enterprise environments, both front-end and back-end. Conduct operations and maintenance (O&M) of existing systems and identify areas for improvement. Estimate application feature development efforts. 25% - Technical Support: Provide direct support for high-level and critical troubleshooting calls. Participate in roadmap/architecture discussions, mentor junior engineers, and infuse emerging technologies.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (or an additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree). Experience: 5+ years of experience with software development, coding, and software architecture.Required Skills: Proficiency in Java, Unix (AIX/Linux), and CA7, with working knowledge of mainframe technologies. Familiarity with tools like CICS, DB2, JCL, TSO, and other key infrastructure monitoring tools. Strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure. Familiarity with database technologies like SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL. Experience in DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies. Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).Additional Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure and applications for efficiency. Serve as backup for Shift Leads, maintaining the Shift Summary for review. Perform job scheduling tasks across mainframe, Windows, and UNIX environments. Provide technical assistance to IT Operations, Service Desk, and other teams. Ensure compliance with IT Operations guidelines and SLAs.
