Role: Sr. ETL Cloud Engineer Location: Menands, New York Duration: 8 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 9843 Client: NY State Respond by Date: 10/11/24 5:00 PM Description The Expert Cloud Engineer will design and support the cloud architecture and technologies to host and support for NYS Healthcare Acquired Infection Outbreak Management System. The Expert Cloud Engineer will also ensure that systems have a higher availability and capacity for user access to meet pandemic needs as well as build, increase and maintain our cloud footprint. Duties The Expert Cloud Engineer will support migration and development of all aspects of the system to cloud based technologies. The Expert Cloud Engineer will design and support the cloud architecture and technologies to host and support various data engineering components in the chosen cloud platform. The Cloud Engineer will develop infrastructure scalability designs to aid in the ever- increasing volume of data. The Cloud Engineer will ensure that systems have a higher availability and capacity for access to meet project needs, as well as maintain the cloud footprint. Duties will involve one or more chosen cloud platforms and the Cloud Engineer must maintain a full comprehension of the cloud storage and database. The Cloud Engineer will support and maintain the bridge between hybrid cloud infrastructures until project is fully migrated to the cloud. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for a full understanding of cloud security and networking concepts for application in daily duties. Mandatory Requirements Experience (12+ Years) Applies engineering disciplines to cloud computing and brings a systematic approach to concerns of commercialization, standardization, and governance of cloud computing applications. Leverages the methods and tools of engineering in conceiving, developing, operating and maintaining cloud computing systems and solutions. Uses the economics of cloud resources to solve business problems. Requirements This is an 100% Onsite 84+ months experience development in medium to large-scale technical projects and assuring deliverables and project scope are met and well documented 84+ months of extensive experience in designing/architecting, implementing, testing, and deployment of data processing pipelines on cloud platforms 78 months expert level knowledge designing/building ETL processes 60+ months of solid experience with relational and NoSQL database platforms 60+ months of experience in setting up cloud infrastructure This position requires at least a bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
