Key Points:

Availability: Must be open to various shifts (detailed below)Role Overview:

This is a support position, not a development role. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring jobs and identifying issues to forward to the appropriate team for resolution.

Shifts:
6:00 AM to 2:00 PM
2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
6:00 PM to 2:00 AM
2:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Candidates must be flexible with all shifts. Initial assignments will be day shifts, but night shifts are possible.Key Responsibilities:Technical:
Perform complex analysis, design, and debugging of software.
Develop and document critical application programs for computer systems.
Ensure compliance with hardware/software standards, code quality, and migration policies.
Analyze requirements, design specifications, and create solutions for enterprise environments.
Provide technical support for high-visibility issues.
Integrate front-end and back-end systems, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Collaborate in product roadmap and architecture discussions.Monitoring:
Daily IT infrastructure monitoring to ensure optimal performance.
Provide real-time monitoring for both mainframe and distributed systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues using tools such as system dumps, trace analysis, and vendor support.
Initiate HealthCheck calls for problem resolution.Scheduling:
Create or alter job schedules across mainframe, Windows, and UNIX environments.
Monitor and ensure job completion, correct JCL syntax, and manage overrides.
Support system upgrades, new releases, and scheduler updates.Documentation:
Develop and maintain operations manuals, system documentation, and written procedures.
Ensure compliance with corporate security and audit regulations.
Provide timely audit request responses and maintain operations systems metrics.Technology Consulting:
Provide technical assistance to IT operations, service desks, and programming areas.
Support daily system administration tasks and collaborate with other engineers.
Lead efforts for disaster recovery/business resumption initiatives.Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
In lieu of a degree, 4 additional years of relevant work experience.Experience:
5+ years of software development, coding, software architecture, and system design.
Experience with Unix (AIX & Linux), Java, and mainframe technologies.Skills:
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and integration of complex systems.
Proficient in multiple programming languages (JavaScript, C, Python).
Strong experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and database systems (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, TDD/BDD, and DevOps practices.Technical Expertise:
Thorough knowledge of CA7, CICS, DB2, JCL, TMON, TSO, and other relevant tools.
Experience with SAN technology, distributed storage management, and network monitoring.Principal Responsibilities:
Monitoring: Ensure optimal performance of operating systems, troubleshoot issues, and maintain infrastructure.
Scheduling: Create and manage job schedules, perform job restarts, and ensure efficient processing.
Documentation: Maintain up-to-date procedures and ensure compliance with security/audit regulations.
Technology Consulting: Provide technical assistance and support for disaster recovery.Required Abilities/Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Flexibility to work various shifts and handle multiple customer service demands.
