Must come from Finance in general can be financial services or Banking but must be in that domain currently. Must be willing to do a hybrid role 2-3 days a week onsite in NYC. Job Description: Modern Workspace Engineer - Consultant Job Description: This role is for a Modern Workspace Engineer working as part of the Technology Infrastructure department within the Americas Division of client. The candidate will work within a team responsible for the engineering of end-user compute devices (workstations, laptops), including operating system support and application packaging/deployment. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the build, deployment and support of Microsoft Windows end-user devices, with a proven understanding of the technology and process involved in software packaging. Role Responsibilities: Perform software packaging - MSI (Windows Installer), AppV, MSIX - for automated deployment/distribution using standard deployment tools such as SCCM and Intune Management and troubleshooting of application builds, working with support teams to resolve application issues related to builds/deployment Work on the engineering of operating system builds for desktops and VDI environments. Work with other infrastructure teams to provide system administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for the Microsoft SCCM Servers Create and maintain various scripts and code required to automate processes Create and maintain relevant documentation and training of other staff as required Support, develop, document, test, and implement engineering solutions Research and recommend innovative solutions and where possible auto- Provide technical consultation in new systems implementation, new feature or function evaluations, and enhancement of existing systems (automation) The candidate will produce detailed implementation instructions and carry out required changes to complete tasks/projects, resolve incidents/problems, and for changes/improvements requested by management.
