| Site Reliability Engineer | Charlotte, NC GC USC Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will be responsible for running our production environment by monitoring system availability and taking a holistic view of system health. You will play a critical role in ensuring stability and facilitating rapid feature development by automating processes and proactively addressing system issues. Key Responsibilities: Monitor the production environment to ensure system health and availability. Participate in OnCall rotation support to assist with critical application issues. Enhance the stability of our applications while driving proactive improvements. Automate repetitive tasks and continuously seek opportunities for further automation. Implement and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and automate the process where applicable. Maintain production readiness through health scoring, error budget tracking, and system assessments. Ensure runbooks are standardized, up-to-date, and effectively maintained. Lead incident response efforts, providing support across application teams. Conduct blameless postmortems and address technical debt through logging and runbook enhancements. Mandatory Hard Skills: DevOps Tools Expertise: Strong experience with tools such as GitLab and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform. Observability & Monitoring: Advanced knowledge in observability, including Dynatrace and Splunk, with a proactive approach to identifying system bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Public Cloud Expertise: Experience with public cloud platforms (preferably AWS), including API gateways. Incident Response Leadership: Ability to lead incident response for critical issues and provide structured support to application teams. API/Microservices Development (Optional): Experience developing APIs, microservices, or frontend components is a plus. Version Control (SVC): Strong experience with version control tools, particularly Git. Mandatory Soft Skills: Cross-Team Collaboration: Ability to effectively communicate and work across multiple teams. Proactive Problem Solving: A forward-thinking mindset in observability, with a vision to identify issues and automate their resolution. Leadership & Ownership: Capable of taking full ownership of services and systems, driving improvements and best practices across the organization.
