Job at a Glance The Network Engineering Business Analyst plays a critical role within the Operational Technology (OT) Networks team, ensuring that telecommunications infrastructure aligns with business needs, regulatory requirements, and strategic goals. This remote role focuses on bridging the gap between business and technical aspects, supporting the construction and maintenance of telecommunications equipment across multiple states. Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify, document, and schedule work within the Site Communication Request System (SCoReS) based on business needs. Analyze existing infrastructure to identify potential, gaps, improvements, and risks in telecommunications. Work with network project managers, architects, and specialists to develop and drive projects and initiatives. Project Management Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring network projects within SCoReS. Ensure that project deliverables meet business requirements and are completed on time and within budget. Vendor Management Evaluate potential vendors and service providers for network solutions. Negotiate contracts and manage ongoing vendor relationships. Communication Assist network design engineers in creating detailed project definitions. Facilitate communication between IT teams and provide status updates to sponsors and stakeholders on business initiatives. Learning & Development Participate in training programs and shadow experienced network architects and project management professionals to develop your skills. Qualifications Education Bachelor's or associate degree in project management, computer science, technology, engineering, or a business-related field. Experience A minimum of three years of experience as an analyst in a similar role. Experience working with utility or industrial network professionals. Experience assembling general engineering documentation. Familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including fiber (outside plant), digital microwave, field area networks, SCADA/RTU communications, routing, and switching. Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. Ability to learn new IT concepts and adapt to changing technology. Detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working independently. Certifications Pursuit of project management certification is desired.
