Top 5 Technical Skills: MySQL Redshift AWS Database Migration Service Tuning, Performance Trouble-shooting - 24x7 Call Support Top Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Collaborative, cross-functional environment Candidate Requirements: Hands-on experience with AWS MySQL Aurora 5.7 or above, including 24x7 production support and on-call troubleshooting. Experience with database migrations, and agile development methodology. Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate effectively with developers during software deployments and data migrations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The client is looking for someone who can sit at the solutioning table with the client and solution how best to do the work. The interview was very in-depth about MySQL, how do you do X, what size to you set Y to, very specific thinker type questions. This is not an architecture role, but a strong consultative / solutioning DBA who isnt waiting to be told what to do and how to do it, but brings ideas and solutions to the table. We also want someone with migration specific experience with large dataset experience 4M+ rows.
