Position Title: Senior Tableau Developer Contract Duration: 6 months Location: Canada, Remote Department: Data & Analytics Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tableau Developer to join our Data & Analytics team, working closely with Databricks Engineers to deliver cutting-edge BI solutions in the real estate domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data visualization using Tableau, be able to integrate with large data platforms like Databricks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights that will drive decision-making and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Tableau Development: Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports based on complex datasets. Optimize Tableau workbooks for performance, ensuring efficient query execution and minimal resource usage. Create interactive visualizations to support key stakeholders in understanding real estate trends and operations. Collaboration with Data Engineering Team utilizing Databricks: Work closely with the Databricks engineers to integrate large-scale data pipelines into Tableau for real-time and batch data reporting. Leverage Databricks for large datasets to improve data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes for more efficient Tableau reporting. Data Analysis & Modeling: Conduct detailed data analysis to understand business trends and provide actionable insights. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical Tableau solutions. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and prepare data for visualization. Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot and optimize Tableau queries and dashboards for improved performance, scalability, and user experience. Conduct regular performance tuning and ensure data models are robust and efficient. Business Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with business stakeholders in the real estate domain to understand their needs and deliver impactful, data-driven insights. Present key findings and visualizations to technical and non-technical audiences to support decision-making. Qualifications: Experience : 5+ years of experience as a Tableau Developer, with a strong focus on creating complex dashboards and working in large data environments. Databricks : Experience with Databricks or other big data platforms like Snowflake or Apache Spark is preferred. SQL : Expertise in SQL for data extraction, preparation, and analysis. Real Estate Domain : Prior experience in the real estate industry is preferred, with an understanding of property management, market trends, and financial metrics. Problem Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Communication : Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical teams and business stakeholders. Preferred Skills: ETL Tools : Familiarity with ETL tools and data pipeline management. Python/Scala : Knowledge of programming languages like Python or Scala for data manipulation.
