Need Write Up & LinkedIn Profile Role Overview: Our food & beverage retail client, Starbucks, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of DevOps experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot production incidents proactively. This person should be a self-starter who can connect the dots based on alerts, perform thoughtful analysis, and provide resolution to any system issues. Key Requirements: 7+ years in the IT industry with a wide range of experience 5+ years of DevOps development and software engineering 2+ years of SRE (Service Reliability Engineering) to enhance software system reliability and scalability Strong experience with Azure cloud environments (preferred) Proficiency in Kubernetes, especially Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) (preferred) Experience with Kafka, Event Hub, NATS, or other messaging brokers Database experience with Cassandra, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or Cosmos DB Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Python, Terraform, and Ansible Experience with Databricks Familiarity with monitoring tools such as DataDog and Splunk Strong Linux environment experience In-depth understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving Experience designing and delivering scalable, high-performance software systems Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Job Duties: Maintain the health of production systems Develop monitoring dashboards and configure alerts Automate system recovery processes and resolve system issues proactively Troubleshoot production issues and lead production troubleshooting calls Manage patches and updates on production systems Design and build multi-microservice solutions to support Starbucks global growth Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system support and continuous improvement Automate password and certificate rotations for application and DB servers Assist CI/CD teams with global infrastructure and application rollouts Participate in production support rotations with pager duties Additional Responsibilities: Serve as a mentor to junior team members Lead process improvements for both new and existing systems Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards are followed Work with team members to ensure designs are scalable, reliable, and optimized for performance Troubleshoot and diagnose complex application issues Provide technical design specifications for complex projects Desired Experience: Application support, problem diagnosis, and resolution expertise Middleware integration experience (e.g., Web Methods) Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices for code reviews Experience translating business requirements into systems solutions Proficiency in SDLC and Scrum methodologies Thanks & Regards Sapna Thakur | Sr. Technical Recruiter Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment database information technology Washington SRE Engineer(Hybrid) Seattle, WA |Local candidates only.
