The creation of OTS consolidated a wide variety of existing hardware platforms, operating systems, database management systems, networks, third party software, and custom applications. OTS leads the States technology procurement process in order to standardize technology over the entire organization, seek efficiencies of operations, maintenance, and scalability of new products introduced to the OTS suite of services which can eventually be offered to all in-scope agencies. The State seeks resources to provide maintenance and operational support for its SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Duties/Responsibilities Design, code and test solutions using Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) for use with SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM); Individually meet with users to determine needs; write program and/or system specifications and guidelines for moderate size systems; Provide technical assistance to less experienced or less knowledgeable employees; serve as liaison between programmers and other supervisory personnel; Design, code, compile, test, debug, modify and document new or existing applications programs within accepted standards, procedures, and guidelines; Demonstrate advanced knowledge/use of JCL (or other control languages) and system utilities in the applications environment; Identify, research and resolve program, machine, data, or system software problems, frequently on an individual basis in consultation with other employees and/or users Review the work of programmers for assigned systems responsibility to ensure data integrity and availability; Assist in the evaluation of user requests for changes to determine specific tasks and effects on existing programs and systems; discuss and explain program and system modifications to users and write user guides and other documentation; Analyze changes, enhancements, and/or systems designs to ensure data integrity and availability.
