Client Experience profiles only EXP: 10+ Years Required Skills: The Financial Systems Team at Client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Developer to join our Information Technology team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications contributing to the Statewide Financial Systems team under the guidance of the Fiscal Management division. The primary responsibility for this role is to develop and implement advanced solutions in alignment with CPAs standards, guidelines, and design documentation. The candidate will perform coding, testing, debugging, and provide high-quality solutions for large-scale enterprise systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with both technical and non-technical staff to ensure seamless coordination of changes prepare test data, troubleshoot issues, and ensure systems meet availability and performance requirements. Strong technical proficiency and problem-solving skills are essential for this role. CPA will require the Candidate to work on the following initiatives and will perform advanced analysis/programming tasks such as: Participating in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle, including design, software development and code review. Performing extensive code reviews and analysis. Writing reports on code analysis to determine if industry standards and best practices are being followed; provide analysis to address found short comings. Providing guidance and knowledge sharing to existing development staff. Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Years Required Experience 5 Required Experience making code changes in accordance with standards, guidelines, and design documents provided. 5 Required Experience coordinating the testing, debugging, and preparing of test data and interacting with technical and non-technical staff in the coordination of changes 5 Required Professional experience in software development building production software systems 5 Required Experience with IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 5 Required Experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS 5 Required Experience with MVS/JCL 5 Required Experience with data integration and data quality 5 Required Experience with Software AG's NATURAL 5 Required Experience with highly complex application security requirements 2 Required Experience with any of the Texas CPA Statewide Financial Systems: USAS, USPS, SPRS, TINS, HRIS and SPA 2 Required Experience with Agile development experience with Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and Confluence 2 Required Proficient with the Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, TEAMS, Microsoft Project, Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint 5 Preferred Experience with CICS Web Services 5 Preferred Experience with CONTROL-M for z/OS 5 Preferred Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government) 5 Preferred Experience designing and implementing secure RESTful web services 5 Preferred Experience with: code reviews and in-depth code analysis and completing system documentation 2 Preferred Experience in developing and implementing containerized web applications in cloud with high proficiency in one or more languages from our stack (REACT JS, Node JS , Phthon,JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS etc.) 2 Preferred Hands-on experience in Core AWS Services like CloudFront, EC2, CloudFormation, Lamda, S3, Route53, AWS CDK,SNS & SQS 2 Preferred Experience building apps using Phyton, React JS, NodeJS, webservices, writing RESTFul interfaces 2 Preferred Experience designing and implementing secure RESTful web services 1 Preferred Experience designing and building Microservices 1 Preferred Experience with Agile teams that have iteratively and incrementally delivered software while practicing code review 1 Preferred Experience with Java programming language 1 Preferred Experience with coaching, mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior level software developers and other personnel as required 1 Preferred Experience with BMC Code Pipeline (formerly Compuware ISPW) 1 Preferred Knowledge of Topaz 1 Preferred Knowledge of IDz, Eclipse for Mainframe SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development and code review. Create well-designed, documented, and tested software solutions that meet strict availability, concurrency, and low latency requirements. Turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative and incremental development. Identify and address product bugs, deficiencies, and performance bottlenecks in a timely manner. Write unit tests Develop processes and procedures for Application Services. Say abreast of current technologies, industry standards and best practices Experienced in supporting applications in a production environment including resolving processing issues as part of on-call rotation.
