Job Details: Looking for a Sr Manager, Data Science to join our fast-paced Data CoE team! As the Lead Data Scientist on the Data CoE team, youll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of high impact projects related to supply chain, procurement and inventory management within the Retail and Restaurant sector. The ideal candidate will be hands-on lead and grow a team of data scientists supporting the data science strategy and roadmap. This role has a meaningful impact on the overall business, requiring the candidate to operate with a high degree of autonomy and effectively communicating insights and plans to all levels of the organization. This is a hybrid position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX. Essential Job Functions / Principal Accountabilities Other duties may be assigned. A teammate in this position must have the ability to: Lead, research, strategize, design, implement, document and communicate Data Science initiatives end-to-end, from incubation to deployment. Build and enhance machine learning, statistical and causal models for product search, ranking and recommendation that support various business goals. Facilitate the delivery of enterprise wide, production grade, and accurate data science products by establishing and standardizing tooling and process frameworks for standard methodologies. Investigate the design and performance of models and fine tune as necessary. Work closely with product and engineering managers to develop and deploy solutions with cross-functional support Build team of data scientists and provide mentorship to less experienced data scientists. Educate our business and engineering partners across the organization on data science concepts (e.g., statistics, machine learning). Identify gaps in existing data, create data product specs, and work with Engineering teams to implement enhanced data tracking. Partner with Analytics team members and other functions to share insights and best practices, ensuring consistency of data-driven decision-making throughout the org. Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
