| Hello, Greetings from Encore Consulting Services, Inc Job Title: Functional QA Lead Location: Boston, MA (Initial remote acceptable; preference for local candidates) Duration: 1 Year Experience : 12+ Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Functional QA Lead with a strong background in Mobile Functional Testing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading QA efforts, developing test strategies, managing defect resolution, and working collaboratively with senior clients and cross-functional teams. The role involves end-to-end testing, including automation, data validation, and functional API testing. Key Responsibilities: Planning: Develop test strategies, plans, and set quality standards to ensure effective testing. Testing: Conduct continuous testing across security, API, and regression suites to maintain product integrity. Automation: Create and implement automation strategies and scripts to streamline testing efforts. Defect Management: Track and manage defects through to resolution. Collaboration: Liaise with senior clients, technology suppliers, and operational support areas to ensure alignment. Communication: Report testing progress to senior leadership and engage in discussions with clients and team members. Reporting: Consolidate, analyze test findings, and prepare comprehensive test reports. Teamwork: Regularly meet with the team to provide feedback and maintain open communication. Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure smooth testing processes. Required Skills: 12+ years of relevant experience in QA and functional testing. Expertise in end-to-end integration testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across workflows, transformations, and structures. Strong experience in testing backend systems, including APIs, databases, and server-side logic for functionality, reliability, and performance. Ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, and profiling to ensure data accuracy. Experience with functional API testing to validate requests, responses, error handling, and security protocols. Proficiency in developing and maintaining automation scripts, workflows, and frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies. Skilled in running database queries and performing database testing and validation. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player. Experience with test management tools and automation & defect tracking tools such as JIRA, ALM, Selenium. Preferred Skills: Experience with testing in GCP applications and SAP Hybris is a plus.
