The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining complex consumer credit adjudication applications within a high-availability environment. This position requires someone who is passionate about software development, has a keen eye for detail, and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing core lending platform services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality software solutions. Required Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, with 7+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent training and work experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience with OutSystems engineering, with a track record of delivering maintainable, high-quality software. 1+ years of experience with OutSystems-based FICO Originations Manager/Application Processing Module (APM). Experience working in consumer credit originations within high availability and throughput environments. Proven experience in developing applications that streamline decision-making processes, ensuring faster, more accurate credit adjudication while maintaining human oversight for exception processing. 3+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS. Familiarity with industry-leading technology trends, design principles, patterns, and best practices. Demonstrated success in delivering complex, enterprise-scale software solutions. Deep understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in Agile, Lean, and iterative software development methodologies. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive success even in the face of ambiguity. Preferred Skills: Experience with high-volume, high-throughput systems. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Leadership capabilities in a team environment, with experience mentoring junior developers. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain complex consumer credit adjudication applications, ensuring high availability and performance. Lead the socialization and realization of target-state technology strategies for modernizing core lending platform services in a commercially responsible manner. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and coding standards. Continuously enhance and optimize code quality, scalability, security, and performance. Write and execute automated tests to ensure the delivery of high-quality software during each Sprint cycle. Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain applications in production environments. Act as a thought leader in design and implementation discussions, with the courage to offer principled pushback when necessary. Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, and other team members in the product development process. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve development processes and skills.
