POSITION Cloud Database Administrator- LOCATION 3x a week onsite Trenton, NJ- Locals DURATION Contract to hire INTERVIEW TYPE Video VISA TYPE No sponsorship REQUIRED SKILLS AWS Redshift and MS SQL Server 7+ years of experience. Qualifications Bachelors degree in mathematics or computer science or engineering A thorough knowledge and understanding of various AWS data services and tools Minimum five (7) years of experience as a Database administrator Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Cloud database administrator Experience building, operating, and maintaining compliant computing environments in AWS Solid understanding of various AWS Data services Experience and knowledge of AWS data analytics tools such as Athena, Glue, RedShift, RDS, Step Functions and other databases such as MS SQL Server Experience and knowledge of AWS data management tools such as AWS Lake Formation, Amazon S3, DMS, AWS MSK or Apache Kafka Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data warehousing principles Experience with data migrations from legacy on-premises systems to AWS cloud Experience with AWS cloud-native infrastructure (e.g EC2, VPC, Security Groups, IAM Policies) Proficiency in SQL and experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g Powershell, Python) Have good understanding of source code softwares like Git or GitHub or TFS Have the ability to establish and enforce database standards and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Should have certification in AWS Data engineer associate, or AWS Database specialty, or AWS Data Analytics specialty Responsibilities Design, develop, implement, and configure cloud databases and administration of these environments and services Have ability to understand requirements and make appropriate tool/service recommendations Use AWS data services to build robust and compliant applications Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using AWS services Redshift Data warehouse, Redshift streaming, MSK, Glue, Athena, S3, RDS SQL Server Develop and optimize data processing and storage strategies, ensuring efficient data flow within the AWS ecosystem Architect and build AWS-based data lakes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security Support cloud architects in designing the data architecture Implement database security controls and security features to support and address cybersecurity challenges on PaaS and IaaS environments Provide technical expertise in range of cloud technologies to include cloud development, cloud data analytics and data management, cloud architecture and Agile development methodologies Collaborate with development teams to design, code, evaluate, implement, and maintain an optimal cloud solution applications software that is delivered on time and within budget throughout the full system life cycle Work with minimal supervision within established procedures and practices and serve as informal lead or mentor to junior team members Recommend AWS cloud solutions to meet the needs of the business, suggest alternatives Build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets the needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities Implement AWS services to improve security posture Perform any required on-premises databases to cloud migration Provide technical support and document aspects of AWS environment Thanks & Regards Dilshad Khan Senior Technical Recruiter Email: [email protected] Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/dilshad-khan-rj01ua1455/ Keywords: sthree microsoft New Jersey Cloud Database Administrator || Trenton, NJ || USC [email protected] |
