Technical initiatives around storage structure
50/50 enable L2 through automation and take away from hands on
Overseeing l2 teams ext, but also working on architects longer term roadmaps & interpreting cloud into roadmap.
Specify technical skills. (Required & preferred)
NetApp- SME with hands on
Storage backup teams & one contractor filling role around storage
This person will be NetApp SME
Engineering, providing roadmaps, how do we grow environment, support new workloads, very technical thought leader
File NAS, Block SAN, and object
AIX & Cisco switches
Cloud insights, NetApp ActiveIQ (nice to have)
(azure) on s3
OS platform- AIX
File servers are mixer of Rails/NFS
Hands on CLI- does scripting, level of automation, basic IT skill sets
Net Ansible Playbooks is plus

Overall, Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of Storage Infrastructure services and automation to support enterprise operations for mission-critical infrastructure. This role includes responsibility in the design, development, and support of storage platforms to enable greater agility with fulfillment to accomplish company growth initiatives. Additional key responsibilities include mentor other team members in a DevOps operating model. Technologies in scope include NetApp NAS and SAN platforms, storage management technologies, data protection solutions, infrastructure automation tools, Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and shared-service applications. Knowledge of public and private cloud technology platforms, PaaS, IaaS, containers, Kubernetes, scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python and other Infrastructure automation languages.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years related work experience of increasingly technical Information Technology experience. 3+ years related work experience in DevOps utilizing SDLC agile methodology with various programming languages (Microsoft PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, SQL, Java, etc.)

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Professional Certifications: Preferred Microsoft and Red Hat DevOps Certifications

High Demand IT Specialized skills: DevOps in Public and Private Cloud Environments

NetApp Storage Platforms (SAN and NAS)
NetApp Software Management Technologies (Cloud Insights, Active IQ)
Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, PowerCLI, JSON, KSH, YAML)

Infrastructure Configuration/Automation development (Ansible Tower, Salt Stack, Puppet)

Strong understanding of ITIL core principles for incident, request, change, and problem management
