Avangrid is seeking a Sr. Digital Operations Lead to oversee the digital ecosystems and platforms across web, mobile, and data environments. This position involves leading operations, monitoring incidents, managing digital applications (including those hosted in the cloud), and ensuring efficient collaboration across multiple departments.

The role focuses on cloud infrastructure management (Azure, Kubernetes), network security, DevOps, and application lifecycle management. The Digital Operations Lead will also coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage incident handling processes to maintain platform stability.Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:
Oversee and support the operation of digital platforms (web, mobile, AI, and Data Lake).
Lead incident management processes, including P1/P2 calls, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Manage alerts and production issues reported by business partners or incident management systems.
Conduct daily standup calls to review status, tickets, alerts, and deployments.

Technical Oversight and Support:
Review logs and troubleshoot issues using KQL in the ELK stack.
Collaborate with teams to implement monitoring processes and address raised issues.
Lead product and service development while promoting efficiency and adoption of new technologies.

Cloud Infrastructure and Security:
Manage applications hosted on Azure and Kubernetes (experience with AWS is a plus).
Ensure compliance with Akamai cybersecurity technologies and coordinate penetration testing.
Oversee web content management using Liferay DXP.

Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead meetings, moderate technical discussions, and define plans of action.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, product, customer service, and PR.
Mentor and coach team members to foster continuous improvement and drive innovation.

Project and Change Management:
Develop and monitor change management strategies for operational impacts.
Ensure seamless execution of digital strategies through effective communication with team leads.
Align technical solutions with business goals by engaging with product owners and stakeholders.Required Technical Competencies:
Front-end Development: Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
Development Tools: Spring Tool Suite, Git, Google Analytics, Remote Config, NPM, IDEs like Eclipse/JBoss Developer Studio
Programming: Java 8+ and Spring Boot Framework
Databases: RDBMS knowledge with SQL scripting
Cloud and Container Frameworks: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (Azure Kubernetes preferred)
Monitoring & Debugging: Familiarity with KQL, ELK stack, browser tools (Chrome/Edge), and cloud monitoring
Security: Knowledge of firewalls, network security, and cybersecurity principlesPreferred Experience:
10+ years of experience in web application development, digital platform support, and operational management.
3+ years of experience as a Technical Lead or Operations Lead.
Expertise in Java, Angular, and Spring frameworks is desirable.
Experience integrating open-source applications and working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
Experience developing secure applications and working with DevOps frameworks.
Familiarity with Akamai cybersecurity technologies and pen testing coordination.Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities:
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to report to C-level executives.
Strong problem-solving skills for addressing technical and operational challenges.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvements.
Expertise in collaboration and change management strategies.
Ability to multi-task and manage complex projects in dynamic environments.Educational Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related discipline.
8+ years of relevant work experience.Summary:

This role requires a highly skilled digital operations leader who can manage technical operations, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity for Avangrid's digital platforms. The candidate must have hands-on experience with Angular, Spring Boot, Azure, Kubernetes, and DevOps methodologies. Strong leadership, collaboration skills, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement are essential.

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days onsite work in Orange, CT or Boston (with Orange, CT being the preferred location).
