Location : Remote (EST or CST) Visa : US Citizen Candidates are encouraged to have any of the Preferred Skills, but the experience testing their own code and using Pytest is the top requirement (outside of developing in an Azure cloud environment). About the role: The Azure Platform Engineering team is responsible developing and implementing policies and updates to the Azure infrastructure that make it possible for applications across the organization to work in-sync with Azure. To improve those efforts and broaden their capabilities, they are looking to bring in a Python Developer to make key upgrades to the Azure platform. This resource will work hands-on with the PyTest framework and use their coding expertise to develop automated testing. Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a Python Developer in an Azure Cloud Environment Hands-on experience with the Python Pytest framework for developing automated testing Hands-on experience with the Ansible Automation Platform experience (AAP) to prepare code for deployment Development experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code Ability to read, troubleshoot, and improve existing Python code Experience with Azure cloud services and architectures Preferred Skills: Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer, Ansible Automation Platform Azure Gov experience Experience with OpenSearch tool Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and optimize Python code used in the deployment process Writing tests in the PyTest framework Manage the end-to-end release process for Azure Platform and application team landing zones Quickly learn and master the current release process (Ansible, Terraform, Python), while continuously identifying areas for improvement Develop, maintain, and enhance the current Ansible playbooks for automated deployments Develop, maintain, and enhance Terraform code used in the deployment Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all release procedures and actions taken Participate in on-call rotations to support production deployments and troubleshoot issues Keywords: information technology Python Cloud Developer !!
