Job title: Java Developer Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid position- Onsite 3 days per week required) Duration: long term contract Job Description & Responsibilities: Implement best practices in code quality, DevOps provisioning, monitoring, and security Develop microservices and asynchronous processes Leverage AWS cloud services Collaborate with a team of engineers, designers, product managers and researchers to refine and build products Implement platform improvements Define, scope and estimate user stories Mentor junior engineers and interns Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of experience as a professional software engineer Ability to design, develop and implement scalable, elastic microservice based platforms using Java 8/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Micro Services Experience with containerization related management stacks like Docker Working knowledge of frontend frameworks Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming, REST or GraphQL interfaces Working knowledge of queuing and asynchronous processing Comfort with Agile/Scrum software development cycles Effective collaboration, communication, and leadership skills Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically has 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles.
