If you are interested, please share resume on my email [email protected] To know more about Global Applications Solution, visit our website: https://www.globalapplications.com/ Job Title: Network Engineer Location: Houston, TX Client: Birlasoft Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to conduct site surveys, assess rack requirements, mount access points, and manage the installation and pre-configuration of network devices, including Meraki routers, switches, and access points. The Network Engineer will also oversee the production cutover to ensure a seamless transition. Key Responsibilities: Site Survey and Assessment: Conduct comprehensive site surveys to evaluate current network infrastructure. Assess rack space, power requirements, and environmental conditions for network device installation. Rack and Device Installation: Determine and document rack requirements for network devices. Mount access points and network devices in racks according to best practices. Ensure proper cabling and power connections for all devices. Pre-Configuration and Setup: Pre-configure Meraki routers, switches, and access points based on network design specifications. Test and validate device configurations to ensure optimal performance and security. Production Cutover: Plan and execute the production cutover process, minimizing downtime and disruption. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new network infrastructure. Monitor network performance post-cutover and address any issues promptly. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of site surveys, configurations, and installation processes. Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and other stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience with network device installation, configuration, and management. Expertise in Meraki routers, switches, and access points. Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
