The Network Engineer will also oversee the production cutover to ensure a seamless transition. Key Responsibilities: 1. Site Survey and Assessment: o Conduct comprehensive site surveys to evaluate current network infrastructure. o Assess rack space, power requirements, and environmental conditions for network device installation. 2. Rack and Device Installation: o Determine and document rack requirements for network devices. o Mount access points and network devices in racks according to best practices. o Ensure proper cabling and power connections for all devices. 3. Pre-Configuration and Setup: o Pre-configure Meraki routers, switches, and access points based on network design specifications. o Test and validate device configurations to ensure optimal performance and security. 4. Production Cutover: o Plan and execute the production cutover process, minimizing downtime and disruption. o Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new network infrastructure. o Monitor network performance post-cutover and address any issues promptly. 5. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain detailed documentation of site surveys, configurations, and installation processes. o Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and other stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience with network device installation, configuration, and management. Expertise in Meraki routers, switches, and access points. Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
