As an AWS Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, develop cloud strategies, and ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of AWS environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and Architecture: Develop comprehensive cloud solutions using AWS services, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement IaC using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment and management. Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions are secure and comply with industry standards and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS resources, ensuring scalability, high availability, and cost-efficiency. Cloud Migration: Lead and support cloud migration projects, providing expertise in re-architecting or migrating applications and workloads to AWS. Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth implementation and support of cloud infrastructure. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical guidance and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and performance degradation. Documentation: Maintain detailed architectural documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures for cloud environments. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures, with at least 3+ years on AWS. Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and more. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. Strong knowledge of networking, security, and DevOps practices in a cloud environment. Experience with cloud migration projects, including application refactoring or re-platforming. Excellent understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud best practices. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Datadog. AWS certifications (such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) are highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline. Experience in hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premise systems.
