Visa: all visa is workable except H1b, OPT, and CPT Duration: 10 months, possible renewals. (No H1b, OPT, and CPT) NOTE: Candidates with health industry background will be highly preferred. Responsibilities: Client's IT is continuing to develop a client Performance Portal pilot initiative with a goal to accomplish the following: Implementation and configuration of the infrastructure for the performance portal pilot Design, development, and implementation (DD&I) of the performance portal using an agile methodology for all standard SDLC phases that includes, but is not limited to: Validation of performance metric requirements Creation of Epics/User Stories/Tasks Automation of data acquisition from a variety of data sources Development of complex SQL scripts Testing integration, load and stress Deployment / publication internally and externally Operations support and enhancement of the Performance Portal pilot This development effort will utilize an agile methodology based upon the approach currently in use at client for the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS). As a member of the agile development team, the worker responsibilities may include: Data acquisition from a variety of data sources for multiple uses. Developing complex SQL scripts to transform the source data to fit into a dimensional model, then to create views and materialized views in Oracle. Administering multiple Snowflake databases, including managing access, creating schemas, creating, updating and deleting tables, and monitoring use. Collaborating with other members of the Data Engineering Team on the design and implementation of an optimal data design. Verification and validation of SQL scripts and database views. Developing automated means of performing verification and validation. Participating in all sprint ceremonies Work closely with the Architects and Data Engineering Team on implementation designs and data acquisition strategies. Develop mockups and work with customers for validation Working closely with other members of the team to address technical problems Assisting with the implementation and configuration of developmental tools Producing and maintaining technical specifications, diagrams, or other documentation as needed to support the DD&I efforts Participation in requirements and design sessions Interpreting new and changing business requirements to determine the impact and proposing enhancements and changes to meet these new requirements All other duties as assigned. **Location of job: Hybrid - 4 days remote with 1 day (Tuesdays) required to be onsite. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Strong overall understanding of Snowflake architecture and its components. 8 Required Hands-on experience with Snowflake objects such as Databases, Procedures, Tasks, and Streams. 8 Required Expertise in using Snowflakes cloning capabilities for databases and schemas. 8 Required Proven experience in managing Snowflake Warehouses and optimizing performance for efficient query execution. 8 Required Proficiency in Snowflake RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), including implementation of roles and privileges. 8 Required Experience with integrating Snowflake SSO (Single Sign-On) and SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) for secure access and identity management. 8 Required Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control for managing Snowflake code deployments. 8 Required Experience working with data integration tools like Informatica and ADF for seamless ETL/ELT processes. 8 Required Ability to automate administrative tasks using Snowflake SQL and scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting. 8 Required Expertise in monitoring and troubleshooting Snowflake environments, including usage tracking and query profiling. 8 Required Strong understanding of Snowflakes security features such as data masking, encryption, and network policies. 8 Required Technical writing and diagraming skills, including proficiency with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin), and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project. 8 Required Experience on an agile sprint team 8 Required Experience with JIRA software 8 Required Experience working with multiple teams concurrently, being able to prioritize and complete work on time with high quality 6 Preferred Proven ability to write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices 4 Preferred Understanding of security principles and how they apply to healthcare data 4 Preferred Experience with state-of-the-art software components for a performance metrics data visualization or business intelligence environment 4 Preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills. 4 Preferred Effectively manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize conflicting assignments, and switch quickly between assignments, as required. 4 Preferred Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business or equivalent experience. 3 Preferred Prior experience in the Healthcare Industry 2 Preferred Prior experience with an HHS agency 2 Preferred Prior experience working with PII or PHI data 2 Preferred Prior experience working with HL7 data 2 Preferred Prior experience with Azure Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment information technology microsoft Senior Snowflake Engineer [email protected] |
