Architect the UX and develop the web strategy tied to the front end facing public website www.marylandpublicschools.org. Evaluate solutions and options for improving UX Design and usability. Conduct user analysis and testing to include assessments of Web analytics and accessibility and develop consumer personas. Define requirements and ensure the effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of the website and its intended use during the planning process and throughout the development and execution of the project. Provide both verbal and written communications regarding updates, issues, and recommendations to the Deputy Director of the OCCE and Sr. Project Manager. Serves as subject matter expert with regards to the UX design, information architecture, and target audiences. Assists in a needs analysis of the relevant business areas and in matching user needs to system capabilities to ensure the new website is easily and quickly integrated into the client's business environment. Involvement in process improvement, organizational change, or strategic planning and policy development. Consult with selected vendor on matters of UX, strategy, and design to meet requirements and user experience Analyze analytics and provide reports to stakeholders, helping to outline the key insights and findings, while providing recommendations to improve. Evaluate current content strategy and collaborate with teams to implement a new content strategy. *Education: Preference for a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. *General Experience: At least eight (8) years of experience in the field of Information Technology and Business/Industry *Specialized Experience: Has worked independently or as a part of a team under general supervision and coached more junior technical staff. Technical expert in IT organization.
