Heres a detailed job description based on your requirements: ### **Position Overview:** We are seeking a **Lead Python AWS Developer** with 12-15 years of strong experience to join our team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience with Python and AWS, along with a solid understanding of cloud technologies and data engineering. ### **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Flask. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. - Implement automation of REST APIs and data pipelines. - Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. - Manage and utilize various AWS and GCP datastore services. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with applications and APIs. - Develop and maintain complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation. - Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance. **Required Skills and Experience:** - **Python:** 10+ years of strong hands-on experience. - **AWS:** 2-5 years of experience with various AWS services. - **Google Cloud Platform (GCP):** 2-5 years of experience. - **Data Engineering:** 5-10 years of experience in data pipeline development. - **Cloud (IaaS):** 2-5 years of experience with infrastructure as a service. - **DevOps/SRE:** 5-10 years of experience in DevOps practices. - **Elasticsearch:** 2-5 years of experience. - **MongoDB:** 2-5 years of experience. - Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell, or Bash (or equivalent). - Familiarity with Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure as code. - Good understanding of datastore technologies including RDS, Aurora, GCS, DynamoDB, etc. - Advanced Python programming skills, including async I/O, FastAPI, and event loops. - Experience with UI/UX development using ReactJS is a plus. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
