| Role: System Engineer for WDAC Deployment 6 to 9 months (temporary contract) Work Location- Folsom, NJ. Need Local Summary We are seeking a System Engineer to oversee the phased roll-out of Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC) across approximately 1700 end-user machines, including laptops and desktops. This individual will serve as the primary point-of-contact for troubleshooting, reporting, and resolving issues during the deployment process. The role involves coordinating with end-users, providing technical support, and ensuring minimal disruption to users throughout the deployment. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Coordinate the phased deployment of Microsoft Defender Application Control (WDAC) across 1700+ end-user machines. 2. Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting issues, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems during the roll-out. 3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Defender Application Control in real-time to minimize user impact. 4. Work with end-users to identify and address any compatibility or operational issues. 5. Utilize Microsoft tools such as Event Viewer and PowerShell for diagnostics, monitoring, and reporting. 6. Apply application packaging concepts to ensure smooth deployment of WDAC. 7. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and address issues that arise during the roll-out process. 8. Provide excellent customer service and support to end-users throughout the deployment process. Minimum Qualifications Required Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Defender Application Control. Strong familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Event Viewer, PowerShell, and related diagnostic utilities. Knowledge of application packaging concepts and deployment best practices. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with end-users. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks while ensuring minimal impact on users. This person will coordinate the phased rollout of MS Defender Application Control to approximately 1700 end-user machines (laptops/desktops) and will be the main point of contact for reporting and resolving issues. The client will provide the necessary tools, training, and procedures to address and resolve issues that will arise during the rollout so that user impact is minimal.
