Job Title: IT solutions Engineer Location: Onsite/Houston, TX Duration: 6months MOI: Skype Note: Need local with DL and LinkedIn Job Description: Probably looking for a candidate with Engineering degree and moved into IT with about 3-5 years exp. and eager to learn and work in dynamic environment. Communication and Computer presentation skills MUST BE Excellent. We are looking for a candidate that will be serving as right-hand to the Group Director at EOG over application development. He is looking for someone that is intelligent, has Oil & Gas experience , possible Engineering degree, ability to present to internal business groups regarding new software available , and to handle PowerPoint presentations. They will be coordinating various applications projects, working with Business Units to insert newly developed Applications and giving presentations . Clear communication skills are a MUST Have ( Oral and Written in English) as many of their "customers" are Field based employees. The candidate MUST HAVE a background in Oil & Gas and Jay would prefer a candidate with an engineering degree (Petroleum, Chemical , Mechanical ,etc.). Candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development of new and existing in-house software solutions Responsibilities: Reporting to Group Director of Information Systems, and will work with internal customers (Corporate and Divisional Offices) to create and/or modify software solutions to support Company's operations. Support 3 rd Party Applications as necessary. Coordinate projects & project timelines Plan for testing and deployment Deployment of applications to the field and offices Create functional and configuration specs for new or existing products Generate ideas for new projects as well as conduct presentations to various groups within Company Work hand-in-hand with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and other Solutions Engineers and Analysts Requirements: Preferred BS in Engineering coupled with MBA 3+ years related Industry experience . Understanding of petroleum operations in an Exploration and Production environment preferred. Technical skills to create prototypes to work with Users /Clients to solve business problems. Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, coordination, and organizational skills . motivated, self driven, and able to work independently. Must be able to juggle multiple priorities and projects that involve dealing with vendors, division personnel and IT Team. Good at working under stress. Need team first mind set. And ready to work outside the boundaries of the job responsibilities whatever is needed. Excellent presentation skills using PowerPoint required.
