This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with distributed systems, devices, and microservices to deliver robust in-store user experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, working on both frontend and backend components to build large-scale applications. Key Responsibilities: Backend Development: Design and maintain RESTful microservices using Java 8+ and Spring Boot; deploy to Kubernetes in cloud environments. Frontend Development: Develop responsive, scalable web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS to enhance POS interfaces. AWS Multi-Region Deployment: Architect and implement scalable, high-availability solutions using AWS multi-region capabilities. System Thinking: Ensure code maintainability, testability, and operational support, with a focus on production behavior. Design and Prototyping: Lead solution design and prototyping efforts, guiding the teams technical approach. Telemetry and Monitoring: Develop monitoring solutions to detect and resolve issues proactively. On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure system reliability and customer satisfaction. Collaboration: Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Delivery and Quality: Consistently deliver high-quality features and address design or architectural challenges. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Strong backend skills in Java 8+ and Spring Boot. Proficiency in frontend technologies like React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and CSS. Experience deploying services in AWS and Kubernetes. Ability to architect and implement multi-region AWS solutions. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
