Role Front End Programmer -6 Location Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week from day 1: Tuesdays and Wednesday) Job Type Contract Job Overview: The Client is seeking an experienced Programmer 6 to support their Development and Maintenance programs. This role focuses on front-end development, where you will collaborate with development project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to create and maintain reusable UI components that meet performance, scalability, and accessibility standards. A strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 and ADA compliance is crucial as all development will undergo testing for accessibility using Jaws reader and various browser plugins. You will play a key role in ensuring that the applications developed are fully compliant, responsive, and user-friendly. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with project teams, UI/UX designers, and business analysts to develop reusable UI components. Ensure that all UI components are accessible, performant, scalable, and robust. Perform accessibility testing on applications using Jaws reader and browser plugins. Adhere to WCAG 2.1, ADA, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles. Participate in Agile development processes, contributing as a core programmer within the team. Required Skills & Experience: 5+ Years Strong background in React.js. 5+ Years Experience with HTML5 and CSS Frameworks. 5+ Years Solid knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1, Section 508 compliance policies, and User Experience design principles. 3+ Years Experience working with Java and relevant IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio. 2+ Years Experience programming using the JPA Framework. 2+ Years Experience with the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot and Spring Data. 3+ Years Proficiency with Java 8+. 2+ Years Experience working in an Agile development environment. Desired Skills: 2+ Years Experience programming in a JBOSS Enterprise environment.
