Role Programmer Analyst 6 Java Developer Location Lansing, MI (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week from day 1) Job Type Contract Top Skills Required: 12+ years in Java development for complex systems. 12+ years with Java IDEs (e.g., Eclipse, STS). 12+ years in SQL and/or PL/SQL programming. 8+ years using Java JEE Struts and Spring/SpringBoot 3.0 frameworks. 5+ years working with Angular/React JS, JavaScript frameworks. 5+ years experience with AWS, Databricks, and Elastic search. Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance the MDHHS MBCIS system. Lead technical efforts and guide other developers in the department. Work on system stability, functionality, and ensure data integrity. Develop Java applications using Spring MVC, Hibernate, Angular, RESTful Web Services, and Apache Struts. Collaborate with stakeholders for business requirement gathering. Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred). Design both logical and physical databases, SQL optimization, and troubleshooting. Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and ActiveMQ broker. Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Familiarity with EHR, HL7, and 5010 EDI X12 healthcare claims processing. Key Projects: The resource will support MBCIS (Michigan Birth Defects Information System), a critical system used by healthcare organizations for screenings and follow-up services.
