| Hi, Hope you are doing great! Role: Snowflake Developer Location: Chicago , IL (Hybrid) Duration : long-Term Contract Client-: TCS / Northern Trust 1. Data Pipeline Development: o Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to move data between systems. o Develop scalable data integration processes using Snowflake's SQL-based interface and third-party tools. 2. Database Design & Management: o Design Snowflake database architecture, including schemas, tables, views, and indexes. o Implement optimized data storage and partitioning strategies for high performance. 3. Data Modeling: o Create logical and physical data models based on business requirements. o Implement dimensional modeling techniques (e.g., star or snowflake schema). 4. Performance Tuning: o Optimize query performance using various techniques (e.g., clustering keys, caching, partitioning). o Monitor and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks in queries and data loads. 5. Data Security: o Implement data security best practices, including role-based access control, data encryption, and masking. o Manage user roles, access permissions, and secure data sharing between different accounts. 6. Cloud Integration: o Integrate Snowflake with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and other data tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. o Leverage Snowflakes capabilities for data sharing, data lakes, and cloud storage. 7. Automation & Scripting: o Write stored procedures, UDFs (User-Defined Functions), and automate processes using Snowflakes native capabilities. o Use tools like Python, Airflow, or dbt for orchestration and scripting within the Snowflake environment. 8. Collaboration: o Work closely with data engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient solutions. Skills Required: Strong SQL Skills: Proficiency in writing complex queries, optimizing performance, and working with Snowflake SQL extensions. Data Warehousing Concepts: Understanding of data architecture, data warehousing principles, and dimensional modeling. Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integrating Snowflake with cloud-based services. ETL Tools: Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Talend, or Fivetran. Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, which can be used to enhance Snowflake's capabilities. Snowflake-Specific Features: Familiarity with Snowflake's unique features like Time Travel, Zero Copy Cloning, Data Sharing, and Virtual Warehouses. Security & Compliance: Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance best practices in a cloud environment.
