JD- Project Overview: While embedded into the development teams, provide first line of engineering escalation support using deep knowledge of the application stack and troubleshooting methods Contractors Role: The contractor will ensure that UAT and production systems are highly performant, and issues are remediated on priority. Experience Level: Senior Qualifications: Terraform AWS/Azure 5 + years in an SRE or Production Support role. Our stack is ReactJs, Java/Spring-boot, Tomcat, Weblogic, Solace, Oracle, DB2, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Bitbucket, Bamboo, ELK, Redis. Experience with these technologies is required to be successful Strong experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery Exceptional skills with Git, Bamboo, Cloud Foundry Deep understanding of branching strategies, artifact versioning Strong knowledge of troubleshooting micro-services based systems Past experience on a team that ships product several times a month. Passionate about solving problems of scalability and performance. Nice to Haves: Past FS Experience Tasks & Responsibilities: Responding to issues and incidents with production systems and supporting our Operations team members to understand and remediate problems in production and testing environments. Maintain development and testing environments Triage issues in production and testing environment when SLAs are not met. Work with network engineers and system engineers to create infrastructure and troubleshoot infrastructure issues. Partner closely with our development teams and product managers to build, deploy and support features that are highly available, performant and secure Partner with our developers to help us transition to trunk based development Create an efficient branching strategy that helps the teams ship product faster Take charge of bi-weekly production deployments. We deploy to production after every sprint and you will be responsible to deploy several services with zero down time. Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with gates for code quality, automated tests, SAST and DAST Develop innovative ways to measure, monitor & report application and infrastructure health Drive efficiencies in systems and processes: capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring and root cause analysis The development team will look to you for DevOps best practices. Be a self-starter and self-motivated individual who is obsessed about system performance.
