From: Sumit Kumar Munda, Vyze [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Description - Data Center Engineer, IT Infrastructure American Airlines IT - Product Data Center (5-7 years of experience) Location: Onsite (Fort Worth, Texas)(Locals only) Long-Term Contract IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The interview process will be virtual, and the position is contract to hire and looking to convert the resource after 6 months. Description: All candidates will need the following. o Familiarity with workflow and ITSM tools and ticketing systems o Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interface at all levels of the organization. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Ability to work independently and perform in a collaborative, team-based environment. Data Center engineering candidates will need one or more of the following. o Monitor and manage physical data center access, including escorting non-AA personnel within the facility. o Review system messages, inspect equipment, and report issues to ensure hardware functionality and minimize downtime. o Forecast resource requirements and coordinate with teams to scale data center operations based on evolving needs. o Conduct and support audits for compliance (e.g., FM Global, PCI/PII, security protocols) and ensure adherence to industry standards. o Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for equipment maintenance and upgrades, ensuring timely resolution of any vendor-related issues. o Troubleshoot and respond to critical failures and emergencies, addressing hardware, network, or software issues and escalating when necessary. o Develop and execute disaster recovery and backup plans to protect data and ensure business continuity during emergencies o Maintain documentation of equipment, incidents, and maintenance activities, keeping records up to date for audit and troubleshooting purposes. o Monitor power distribution and cooling systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions, ensuring energy efficiency and system reliability o Prepare assets for disposal or relocation as needed, following established processes for decommissioning hardware. o Create and assist with incident tickets, providing technical support and problem resolution in coordination with other IT teams. o Provide rotating coverage for two locations: SV7 - 1 Transformation Way, Fort Worth, TX 76155 DFWD1 - 1649 W Frankford Rd, Carrollton, TX 75007 o Familiarity with installing, configuring, and integrating new hardware, including firmware and patch updates, ensuring smooth deployment with minimal disruptions. o Familiarity with network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring reliable connectivity Keywords: information technology Texas NO H1B || Data Center Engineer, IT Infrastructure || Fort Worth, Texas ONSITE [email protected] |
