Responsibilities: The resource in this position will handle database administration for mission critical transactional and Datawarehouse SQL servers with a significant focus on continuous improvement and technology strategy. The resource manages and maintains all production and non-production databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access, and security administration. Performs backup and recovery on Database Management Systems, configures database parameters, and prototype designs against logical data models, defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements. This position optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost. Additionally, this position will handle web administration for mission critical web servers with a significant focus on web applications deployment, connectivity, and maintenance. This will include expert escalation for troubleshooting production issues, assists in development lifecycle, capacity management and strategy, operational standards and procedures, stabilization and optimization, performance tuning and monitoring, standards identification and compliance, continuous improvement, and security enhancement. The Database Administrator (DBA) in this position must have passion for data, databases, web applications, and bring expertise to help us deliver best in class data delivery solutions.
