As an Azure Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions, ensuring best practices for scalability, security, and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end cloud architectures that meet the needs of our clients or internal projects. Key Responsibilities: Design Azure Cloud Architectures: Lead the design and architecture of robust, scalable, and secure Azure-based cloud solutions. Implement Azure Landing Zones to ensure the best practices for network topology, identity and access management, governance, and cost management. Azure DevOps Strategy: Develop CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, integrating automation processes to streamline application deployment. Define branching strategies and implement Git-based source control. Containerization and Orchestration: Design and manage Kubernetes clusters (AKS) for microservices and containerized applications. Set up and manage Azure Container Registry (ACR) for container storage and distribution. Implement automated build and deployment pipelines for containerized applications. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform to define, provision, and manage Azure infrastructure. Maintain and enhance Terraform modules for reusable, modular architecture that aligns with Azure Landing Zone best practices. Automate scaling and configuration using Infrastructure as Code principles. Cloud Governance and Security: Define security best practices, including role-based access controls, network security groups, and identity and access management (IAM) policies. Implement Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, and tagging for governance and compliance. Optimization and Monitoring: Implement monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for proactive system health tracking. Use tools such as Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring Kubernetes clusters. Optimize cost management strategies through Azure Cost Management tools and rightsizing recommendations. Collaboration and Mentoring: Work closely with DevOps, Development, Security, and Operations teams to provide technical guidance. Mentor junior architects and engineers, promoting Azure best practices and innovative cloud solutions. Required Skills and Qualifications: Azure Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud platform. Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS, and serverless architecture. Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , Azure Container Registry (ACR), Azure Storage and Entra. DevOps and CI/CD: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including pipelines, release management, and build automation. Experience with Git-based version control and branching strategies. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Extensive experience with Terraform, including writing and maintaining Terraform scripts. Strong understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates is a plus. Containerization: In-depth knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. Experience designing and managing containerized workloads on Azure. Azure Landing Zone: Experience with setting up Azure Landing Zones based on Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF). Security and Compliance: Strong understanding of Azure security best practices, including Azure Active Directory (AAD), identity management, and role-based access control (RBAC). Knowledge of Azure Policy and Azure Blueprints for governance. Monitoring and Logging: Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana for Kubernetes environments. Preferred Skills: Certification in Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert. Experience with Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions. Knowledge of cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
