This role is not a traditional Systems Administrator or Database Administrator position but emphasizes hands-on experience with server management. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design the architecture for a new Software Defined Data Center (SDDC) solution. Implement and manage infrastructure, including Cisco UCS, and automate provisioning processes. Develop detailed documentation and conduct thorough testing to ensure stability and operational efficiency. Oversee deployment and transition to new infrastructure solutions. Day-to-Day Activities: Review system performance reports and address critical issues. Attend morning meetings for project updates and troubleshooting. Design and refine infrastructure solutions and maintain technical documentation. Collaborate with other engineers to validate new configurations and manage project progress through tools like Jira. Top 3 Must-Have Skills: Data Center Infrastructure Experience: Proven background in managing and designing server hardware and virtualization technologies. Cloud and Automation Expertise: Experience in designing cloud architectures and automating processes with scripting languages (e.g., BASH, Python). Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Cisco UCS, container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and workflow orchestration platforms. Nice-to-Have Skills: Advanced scripting capabilities in languages like BASH, Python, or JavaScript. Experience with Software Defined Data Center solutions. In-depth knowledge of automation tools for efficient infrastructure management.
