From: Mohd Niyaz, sibitalent [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Job Title: Sr. QA Test Analyst Duration: Long Term Contract Client : syscom/State of California, specifically CalSTRS Location: West Sacramento, CA (Hybrid) Description: We have a requirement for the State of California, specifically CalSTRS, which is the CA Retirement System. The request is for four (4) Senior QA Test Analysts to work onsite in West Sacrament, CA. They will allow 2 days a week remote work as well, but they must be able to work onsite the remainder of the time. Note that there are two minimum qualifications sections, and the end bullet is the desired. CalSTRS is firm, all the minimum quals must be met to be considered. Work Location: Selected candidate must be able to perform all work on-site at the client facility in West Sacramento, CA . At clients discretion, a different approach (i.e., fully in-office, fully remote or different work hours) may be utilized based on business need and/or directive. Work must be performed during clients normal business hours. Required Submissions: Three (3) business references Skills matrix form completed outlining how candidate meets the qualifications Senior Test Analyst Client is seeking four (4) Senior Test Analysts with knowledge and experience of, User Acceptance Testing, including testing methodologies and test management for a pension, financial or similar system. The Senior Test Analysts will perform various test activities related to the current Pension Solution project to implement a new pension administration system. The Senior Test Analysts will be responsible for supporting the Pension Solution project testing team with: Effective partnering with key IT/Technology Services and business communities to assist with test case development and ensure effective use of methodologies and communicate test strategies, test results and performance Management of test planning, test scheduling, end-to-end testing, date-shifting coordination and expertise in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and supporting end user testing Participation in defect management including monitoring and reporting on defect status and resolution Metrics compilation and reporting Development and documentation of processes and staffing requirements for defect triage/business analysis o Partner with peers and management team to continuously improve testing methods, processes, techniques and use of manual testing tools Experience should include: Leading a large group of testers, ideally user acceptance testers Working with a comprehensive test management tool o Business focus while possessing an understanding of testing from multiple perspectives such as System test, role-based security, technical environments, and performance Preparation/review of testing reports Proficiency at managing multiple efforts simultaneously, in an environment with ambiguity High degree of initiative and autonomy with the ability to function successfully as part of a team Minimum Technical Qualifications Must meet ALL: At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years working as a Test Analyst with large organizations, leading or participating in the technical implementation of software/systems/applications automating complex business processes, performing the following: Assessment of analysis scope and tasks Planning business analysis tasks Elicitation, definitions and documentation of various business, user, and system requirements Leading and working within cross-functional teams that include business subject matter experts, application architects, developers, and testers Experience preparing test plans, test cases and documenting test results Experience regression testing and adjusting test plans for periodic maintenance releases Must meet ALL - At least seven (7) years of experience within the last ten (10) years producing business analysis and testing deliverables such as: (client may request deliverable related work samples during the Interview phase). Business requirements and business rules Functional requirements and/or functional specifications Non-functional requirements Stakeholder requests Test strategies Test plans Test cases Transition plans Traceability matrices At least three (3) years of experience using Test Application Lifecycle Management tools such as HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Rational Requisite Pro, or Jama to document functional and non-functional requirements, design specifications, test cases and defects, and provide full traceability for projects. Desirable Technical Qualifications Experience as a Test Analyst at a State or Federal agency. Experience as a Test Analyst leading or participating in the technical implementation of pension/retirement-related software development projects. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related fields from an accredited or government-sanctioned college/university.
