Sr. SharePoint Developer

Work Location: Work shall be performed in a hybrid setting each week, Monday through Friday, with two (2) days remote at a suitable off-site location free of distractions and three (3) days on-site at 189 Harry S Truman Parkway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
Additionally, the proposed candidate must be able to report on-site within twenty-four (24) hours after notification.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm Eastern Time

Project duration: Five (5) years from January 2025 January 2030

Interview: In-person interview (NO video interviews allowed and there are no exceptions, all candidates must be interviewed in the same manner).

Required Submissions to SYSCOM and Client

Three (3) Business References from client work was done (not from a vendor or agency, must be the client they did the work for; e.g., if they were employed by Tata or Deloitte, but their end client was Bank of America, it must be a Bank of America reference).

Copy of Bachelors Degree and any certifications on resume (must submit all copies of any degree or certs on resume, please verify and delete anything they can't provide a copy for).

Skills Matrix form outlining how they meet the qualifications listed under minimum qualifications
(sent after interview with SYSCOM).

Right To Represent form (sent to candidate selected).

Senior SharePoint Developer

SYSCOMs client is seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer. The Senior SharePoint Developer will provide support in the areas of Microsoft SharePoint development, on-going maintenance and providing support for existing SharePoint projects.

Minimum Qualifications must meet ALL

Bachelor of Arts, or a Bachelor of Science, in Computer Science (must be Computer Science)

Five (5) or more years experience with the following:

SharePoint development and system administration.

Microsoft Power Apps integration, JavaScript, C#, SQL and .NET frameworks.

Integration of SharePoint with Microsoft products and workflows. Development and support of existing and planned Microsoft SharePoint sites, strategies, frameworks, and standards.

End user support of SharePoint applications.

Preferred Qualifications - its highly desired for a candidate to have the following skills and experience

Experience with the analysis, design, development, support, and user training for new and existing departmental SharePoint sites as well as assistance in the development of a wider strategy and framework for online communication and collaboration.

Ability to provide senior level project strategic planning and detailed technical development and training support for these, and related projects as assigned.

Supporting daily use of and enhancements to existing SharePoint sites experience

Tracking progress of assigned projects, identify risk factors, develop risk mitigation plans, identify issues, and facilitate appropriate forums for resolution experience

Development and support of Microsoft SharePoint experience

Systems development methodologies and project management practices experience.

Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, end users and vendor development staff, as well as all levels of management and personnel as necessary.

Ability to work effectively within a diverse IT organization.

Ability to create and deliver project presentations to senior and executive management as needed.

Ability to assist with strategy and design of deliverables as needed.

Knowledge of integrating database capabilities within the SharePoint environment including the development of a plan and framework.

Job Duties and Tasks may include, but is not limited to, the following:

Support daily use of and enhancements to existing SharePoint sites.

Analyze, design, develop, and document new SharePoint sites as needed.

Assist in the development of an enterprise strategy and framework for the ongoing use of SharePoint and the integration of SharePoint with other communication and collaboration vehicles.

Ensure the creation and review of designated project deliverables.

Provide demonstrations and training as needed during project development, testing, and deployment.

Document code development and related workflows.

Provide design, troubleshooting, and end user support of SharePoint applications.

Provide management reporting as designated.

End user support tasks involve helping users resolve technical issues and providing guidance.

Troubleshooting Issues (e.g., Diagnosing and fixing software problems reported by users).

Account Management (e.g., Assisting with account setup, password resets, and access issues).

User Training (e.g., Offering training sessions or resources on using software tools effectively).

Documentation (e.g., Creating and maintaining user manuals, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides).

Remote Support (e.g., Using remote desktop tools to resolve issues directly on the users machine).

Feedback Collection (e.g., Gathering user feedback to improve services and support).

Incident Reporting (e.g., Documenting issues and resolutions for future reference and analysis).

Escalation (e.g., Identifying issues that require higher-level technical support and escalating them accordingly).

System Monitoring (e.g., Keeping an eye on system performance and user activity to preemptively address issues).

Patch Management (e.g., Ensuring software and systems are up to date with the latest patches and updates).

Onboarding Support (e.g., Assisting new users with their initial setup and orientation).
