| Role: Lead Data Engineer. Location: Remote Start: ASAP Visa: GC, USC. Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data engineering, data mesh, modern data stack, and data sharing, ensuring the seamless transition and integration of EMR systems. Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture: Design and implement scalable data architectures to support EMR migration, leveraging data mesh principles. Data Migration: Lead the migration of data from legacy EMR systems to new platforms, ensuring data integrity and security. Modern Data Stack: Utilize modern data stack technologies to build robust data pipelines and workflows. Data Sharing: Develop and maintain solutions for secure and efficient data sharing across systems and stakeholders. Data Products: Create and manage data products that provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the data engineering team, ensuring best practices in data management and integration. Quality Assurance: Ensure all data migration processes meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data migration processes and solutions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data migration and healthcare IT. Technical Skills: Data Mesh: Experience with data mesh architecture and principles. Modern Data Stack: Proficiency in technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake. Programming Languages: Strong skills in Python, SQL, and other relevant programming languages. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for data storage and processing. Data Sharing: Knowledge of data sharing frameworks and protocols. Data Products: Experience in developing and managing data products. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty Google Professional Data Engineer Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) Knowledge: Familiarity with major EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and experience in healthcare data security.
