Are skilled in design research methods such as ethnography, co-creation, and usability testing, and can connect customer insights with business strategies. Can communicate complex ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders, and are experienced in leading client presentations and proposals. Have a strategic mindset, with experience in envisioning new solutions, market validation, and problem-solving through both top-down and bottom-up analysis. Are comfortable working directly with clients, understanding their business needs, and offering consultative insights. Are collaborative and proactive, able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, while continuously improving processes. Have experience in business development and are capable of helping companies with digital transformations aligned with customer needs. A candidate with this blend of research expertise, business acumen, client-facing experience, and strategic thinking would be ideal for this role. Service Designers lead research and insights on multidisciplinary projects for our clients. Service Designers help identify ideal methodology based on the specific project and client needs, and are responsible for providing business-relevant, future-thinking perspectives on the client challenge. Service Designers bring the user into the equation and through methods such as interviews, ethnography, co- creation workshops, and diary studies are able to connect the dots between customer needs and desires, market trends and competitive analysis. Service Designers identify new insights to prioritizing opportunities, and to shape the future of products, services, businesses and industries. Responsibilities Be consultative, working directly with clients to understand their business, challenges, pain points and opportunities, continuously adding value and managing expectations Be a hands-on practitioner to create high level strategy, user experiences, digital journeys, mind maps and customer insights documentation Resolve complex client issues. Provide escalation point where friction appears Lead proposal development and possibly new business pitches from new and existing accounts Continuously and creatively seeking to improve existing practices by refining techniques or introducing new ones Design and facilitate workshops and co-creations Manage and conduct Design Research methods, from requirements gathering to reporting. This is inclusive of defining objectives, creating the approach, moderating and synthesizing findings. Deliverables often include: participant screeners, discussion guide/approach outlines, findings reports, and research readouts Moderate different research methods including, but not limited to: In-depth Interviews, small groups, contextual studies, diary studies, ethnography, co-creation, usability testing About you Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly (ideas, concepts, strategies, plans etc) to colleagues and clients of all levels Demonstrate expertise in a range of skills, such as organizational strategy, channel and go-to- market models, customer / market research, etc Select appropriate frameworks, tools and approaches to use in solving client problems Be a master of research moderation & foundational consulting skills, including problem framing and structuring, expertise design research and data analysis Excited by change and challenging the status quo Proactive in everything you do, from your self-development to learning about your clients, their issues and how to resolve them Collaborative by nature you should work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment and working on multiple projects Strong listening, presentation, communication and collaboration skills Lead client presentations Requirements 5+ years of experience as moderator/researcher and strategist, envisioning new solutions, market validations, business modeling and architecture & design definitions Proven strategic thinker with proof of delivery Solid understanding of user centered design and the design process Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong writing skills Experience in supporting business development efforts Willingness to travel to meet client requirements Experience in helping companies embrace transformation, uniting technology efforts around a common vision that is anchored in customer needs.
