JD below -Agile Project Manager Remote Contract Job Summary: Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Agile project teams. Ensure high performance and quality in project delivery, meeting/exceeding intended business value. Coach team members to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of projects. Refine and implement processes and tools to enhance team performance. Key Responsibilities: Team Empowerment: Promote team empowerment and full engagement of members. Foster a sustainable work pace with high-quality output. Risk and Issue Management: Identify and manage risks and issues. Correct deviations from plans and perform delivery planning for assigned initiatives. Stakeholder Support: Assist the Product Owner in managing customer expectations and stakeholder communications. Implement effective governance systems. Team Ceremonies: Establish cadence and facilitate team ceremonies to enhance collaboration. Development Accountability: Support team development while holding members accountable for commitments. Remove roadblocks to progress. Resource Utilization: Leverage organizational resources to enhance initiative capacity. Mentorship: Mentor and develop team members to foster growth and enhance dynamics. Product Planning: Participate actively in product planning, risk management, and change management processes. Performance Tracking: Track and report on team/project KPIs (Velocity, Burndown, Cycle Time, Lead Time, SPI, EV, etc.). Collaboration: Partner with shared service teams (e.g., EDS, EID) for collaborative success. Communication: Foster an environment of open communication and information sharing among team members, clients, partners, and vendors. Needed Skills: Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and big-picture perspective. Project Management Knowledge: Solid understanding of software development life cycle models; expertise in Agile and traditional project management principles. SCRUM/Agile Experience: Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies in enterprise-level application development. Complex Initiative Management: Experience managing and delivering large, complex initiatives in high-tech development environments with multi-functional teams. Team Leadership: Ability to lead software development initiatives to meet objectives and commitments. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical Background: Sufficient technical background to provide credible leadership to development teams. Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills for mentoring, coaching, collaboration, and team building. Qualifications: Agile Methodologies Experience: Demonstrated experience with Agile methodologies. Certifications: CSM, SSM, or PSM certification required; SASM, CSP, SPS, or other advanced certifications preferred. Educational Background: Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience. Software Development Experience: Prior experience in software development as an analyst, tester, developer, or project manager. Typical Experience: Years of Experience: 8+ years of related experience, including 3+ years of direct Agile Scrum Master experience. Project Responsibility: Experience managing software delivery projects valued at $1 million or more.
