Leads teams of engineers, fostering an environment of innovation and efficiency, while ensuring that projects align with business goals and meet quality standards. Balances technical oversight with people management, they are the linchpins that connect complex programming work with the strategic objectives of the organization. Drives all technology decisions such as development tools/frameworks, engineering practices such as test-driven development, architecture decisions, short-term and long-term technology roadmaps. Skills: 7+ years' experience in leading engineering teams focused on software delivery, experience working with global teams a plus. 8+ years experience in building solutions with an event driven architecture. 5+ years experience in health care. Excellent ability to develop and build teams by assessing quality talent and motivating/inspiring others. Proven strategic thinker that can successfully partner in a highly matrixed environment. Experience in application development tech-stack such as: Java, Python, RDBMS, NoSQL etc. Experience in web development frameworks such as: React, Angular, Vue, etc. Experience architecting enterprise-class, cloud-based systems with background in application development, including mobile technologies, web services, and back-end application infrastructure. Proven track record of delivering software engineering initiatives, IT-application initiatives, and cross IT/business initiatives. Demonstrated success with delivering products using modern software techniques. Applied expertise in software engineering methodologies including automation and CI/CD. Experience scoping complex projects/capabilities and driving through to completion, identifying risks and improvement opportunities. Experience managing a multimillion-dollar operating budget and multi-year financial planning. Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Cloud certifications are preferred.
