The Contract Technical Writer should have the following skills: 8+ years working on software documentation projects Tools: DITA XML, Madcap Flare, any structured authoring tool; and CMS Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in a way that non-technical people can understand. Confident self-starter, pro-active in asking questions and resolving issues with subject matter experts. User-centric thinker who can anticipate the readers concerns and questions about the product. Strong time management skills with the ability to estimate the effort required to complete a task and stay on schedule. Basic graphics skills (Powerpoint). Experience documenting APIs a plus.
