Manages products lifecycle to assure operational availability; gathers data and analyzes capacity and performance. Fulfill engineering responsibilities in the area of mainframe languages, software change management solutions, development and productivity tools. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as mainframe Subject Matter Expert (SME). Participates in infrastructure planning, providing insight into the future of their area(s) of technology. Maintains thorough understanding of current and future infrastructure. Responsible for establishing, maintaining, documenting, and publishing the mainframe language and development tools directions and technology roadmaps as well as coordinating cross-departmental projects that involve mainframe application migrations. Maintains an industry awareness of new developments in their area of expertise; learns and applies new and emerging concepts very quickly.
