Own the technical data governance practices, ensuring data sovereignty, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Challenge the status quo to continuously improve existing processes and solutions. Build a secure data access strategy to democratize data, enabling research, modeling, machine learning, and AI initiatives . Define tools and pipeline patterns for engineers and data engineers to support data transformation and analytics practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective data architecture solutions. Ensure data solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability. Mentor junior data architects and team members. Stay up to date with the latest technologies in distributed computing, big data, and architecture. Promote the value of data within the enterprise and advocate for its role in driving business transformation. Required Qualifications: 15+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Advanced Analytics. Proficiency with multi-cloud environments (AWS and Azure). Expertise in database technologies, including PostgreSQL, Redshift, and SQL Server. Experience with data integration tools such as AWS Glue, Azure ADF, and Azure Databricks. Expertise in SQL Server, Azure/AWS Data Services and Microsoft data technologies. Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, data lakes, data mesh, and data products. Strong client management skills. Proficiency in SQL and Python.
