Could you review the following job requirement and let me know if you are interested Job Role: Embedded Engineer with Bare Metal Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite) Duration: 12 Months Job Summary: As an Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software for various applications. You will work closely with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bare-metal programming and a solid understanding of embedded systems architecture. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop embedded software for real-time applications. Implement and optimize bare-metal solutions for microcontrollers and processors. Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and specifications. Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables. Document software designs, processes, and testing procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software integration issues. Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in embedded systems. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in embedded software development, with a focus on bare-metal programming. Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and assembly language. Strong understanding of microcontrollers, embedded operating systems, and hardware-software integration. Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems. Familiarity with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.). Knowledge of embedded software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr. Understanding of hardware design and schematics. Familiarity with version control systems.
